Baoxin Asia-Pacific aims to build the world’s first industrialized, proprietary, automatic, intelligent stem cell massive production line that integrates engineering, equipment, technology and software, takes storage of biological samples as the base, industrialized and massive stem cell manufacturing as the core, CXO(CDMO/CMO/CRO) services and cell technology application as the orientation and blockchain-based cell industrial chain data as the driving force.

It is one of the 16 major science projects listed in the Medium and Long-Term Plan for Key National Technology Infrastructure Construction (2012-2030) issued by the State Council and the only major basic science project in the information communication field in China. The project covers eight core knots in eight cities and 20 edge networks and will underpin China to leapfrog into the next-generation cyberspace competition.

The project is backed by the State Key Laboratory of Emerging Infectious Diseases, the University of Hong Kong and is headed by the top research team of the university. The project will help improve early warning diagnostics for emerging infectious diseases in China and effectively safeguard public health safety and social stability.

Relying on existing smart city research of PolyU and on time-space big data theory, AI algorithm and satellite imagery, the project will study time-space data of urban areas, analyze and solve key and basic theoretical problems relating to smart city development.
