The Insititutte of Matertial Research,City University of Hong Kong is in the South Tower, No. 1, Hongliu Avenue, Futian Bonded Zone, and its gross floor area is 12,000m². 

3 centers are planned, including the Original Innovation Center, Higher Education Center and Intellectual Property Transfer and Innovative Incubation Center. The goal is to create an international first-class institute characterized by outstanding innovation capacity, workforce of top talents and integration of innovation and application in 5 years.
