DeepRoute.AI

DeepRoute.AI is a technology company that focuses on R&D and application of L4 autonomous driving technology. It mainly focuses on two business activities, i.e. travel and intra-city freight transport, and owns the two product lines including "DeepRoute Travel" (passenger car capable of autonomous driving) and "DeepRoute Transport" (light truck capable of autonomous driving).

In the area of passenger car, DeepRoute.AI launched the L4 front installed autonomous driving solution with cost less than one dollar in December 2021. The cost of mass production can be reduced to USD 3,000, which breaks the barrier in mass production of autonomous driving cars. Based on this solution, DeepRoute.AI has established technical collaboration with multiple OEMs. 

In the area of commercial vehicle, DeepRoute.AI will provide the customers with the intra-city freight transport capability supported by autonomous driving, in order to reduce the operating cost. DeepRoute.AI has established collaboration with Deppon Express and provides the latter with transshipment service supported by autonomous driving. This is the first commercial L4 autonomous driving light truck project successfully implemented in China.

DeepRoute.AI has independently developed multiple innovative technologies. Among these technologies, the perception algorithm based on multi-sensor fusion allows precise detection of objects by using automotive-grade solid-state lidar and camera data. The decision planning algorithm based on the game theory allows route planning to be executed based on the real-time road conditions. The inference engine allows optimization of computing resources based on the characteristics of deep learning algorithm. The autonomous driving algorithm can operate efficiently and stably on an automotive-grade computing platform with low cost and low power consumption. By now, DeepRoute.AI has completed over 7 million kilometers of safe travel in the urban centers in Shenzhen, Wuhan and Hangzhou.

In 2019, DeepRoute.AI was founded by a team led by Zhou Guang, an AI doctor, in Shenzhen. The core team has ample experience in technology R&D and commercialization. The members include the masters and doctors from the renowned domestic and foreign universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of Cambridge, Columbia University, Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University, and also the elites who used to work for the world's top-notch technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, Ford, Intel, GM, Wavmo, Cruise, Baidu, Huawei and Tencent The company's employees include several individuals who ranked the first place in the NCEE in their respective provinces or who were gold medal winners in academic competitions and include the talents who graduated from the Basic Science Class and Computer Science Experimental Class (Yao Qizhi Class) of Tsinghua University. Their expertise covers all modules of autonomous driving technology.
