Siemens Energy Shenzhen Innovation Center

Siemens Energy Shenzhen Innovation Center is an innovation R&D center instituted in Asia by Siemens Energy and is the third one in the world, with the last two being in Germany and the United States. It has three innovation laboratories which are specialized in smart energy, advanced gas turbine and green hydrogen energy respectively, and has two functional centers responsible for cooperation/incubation and display/communication. Given the characteristics of hydrogen energy in China, this Center is committed to R&D of advanced green hydrogen energy technology, and mainly works on developing distributed high-efficiency proton exchange membrane hydrogen production by water electrolysis solution and the core equipment, in order to create the unmanned (less manned), efficient and flexible future energy system that consists of renewable energy based power generation, power grid and other energy sources, and to enable accelerated growth of the energy industry of Shenzhen. 

This Center will conduct R&D and design of the key/core thermal components of Class H gas turbine, development of the technologies and processes for manufacturing of the key thermal components, R&D of additive manufacturing technology for the core components of gas turbine, and testing and demonstration of components and whole set of gas turbine. It will focus its efforts on technological breakthrough in thermal barrier coating material for core components of gas turbine and ultra-efficient cooling, so as to achieve indigenous design and manufacturing of the key thermal components of gas turbine.
